2000 Seat Server 2012 VDI Benchmark

The following is a blog post from my counterparts at Microsoft who benchmarked a 2000 seat VDI deployment based on my architecture for DVS Enterprise: Server 2012 and upcoming architecture based on Dell Active Infrastructure. We worked on this jointly to provide a larger scale architecture using converged networking options. This just goes to show the Windows 2012 VDI architecture can indeed scale, it’s the management piece that starts to get a bit unwieldy at that level. Convergence really plays a very minor role here but it too was to demonstrate an alternate networking strategy aimed at cabling reduction and BOM simplification.
